New Web App - Random Generator

November 24, 2019
by jos

Today we've released our new Random Generator web app, which allows students and teachers to randomly generate lists of...

- numbers (both integers or decimals),

- letters (A-Z),

- passwords (8 characters),

- dices (1-6, using multiple colors),

- playing cards, as well as

- students from their own Virtual Classrooms.

Results can either be displayed on-screen or printed as PDF files.

The Random Generator is also available in the Virtual Classrooms' ClassBook web app, where it is replacing the previous random student list generator feature.

Enjoy the new app!

Updates - Text-Editor and Math Rods

November 13, 2019
by jos

The Virtual Classroom's text editor now analyzes student texts, displays helpful statistics, and supports the students in improving the content of their texts. In addition, the integrated spellchecker is now displayed directly in an editor window, so that errors can be corrected immediately.

Text updates are now collected in the Virtual Classroom's newsfeed, and both the name of the author and the name of the computer (if available) where the text was created are displayed. Clicking on a title in the newsfeed opens the text directly in the text editor.

The math rods app now offers a new mode that allows you to practice the composition of numbers in the space from 5 to 20 (10 = 1 + 9, 10 = 2 + 8, ...). The new mode is implemented both as an online trainer and as a worksheet generator. On worksheets, arithmetic rods are now also shown more clearly by highlighting the points in color.

Enjoy the update!

New Virtual Classroom UI

November 04, 2019
by jos

The Virtual Classroom environment has been completely revamped, featuring a new tab-based User Interface in all applications, as well as a live classroom feed on the main dashboard.

The Virtual Classroom's Website tools have been completely redesigned, all web pages are now fully customizable, and you may now write and edit blog messages directly on your website's preview page. For each blog message, you may decide if it shall be posted on your classroom's homepage, on your school's website, or both.

All Learning Management System (LMS) applications now offer a tab-based user interface, and the Learning Plans app also offers a new fullscreen mode feature. All main screens have been cleaned up to allow for faster access to the most important tools and features. The Media Manager now offers direct access to all important directories, and directories related to specific school years can be automatically generated.

If you're a member of more than one Virtual Classroom, then you may now also define a favorite classroom that will always be accessible via your main user menu.

The entire Virtual Classroom environment has also been further optimized for use on tablets and smartphones.

Enjoy the update!

New Virtual Classroom features

October 15, 2019
by jos

The Virtual Classroom now allows to add up to 8 different weekly schedules per class in the class book. For the whole school year you can choose the appropriate timetable (or holiday weeks) per week. The schedules are automatically adopted in the class book, in the reports, as well as on web pages.

The Virtual Classroom Media Manager offers many improvements in the student area. Student folders are now sorted by first name, folders of former students are displayed only to teachers, and there are extended explanatory and auxiliary texts. Teachers can now manage the folders of former students using a wizard that also allows you to delete folders, move them to other classes, or move them to the student's home directory.

Work plans can now be printed with school and class names, and task codes can optionally be omitted. Notes can be searched for student names or keywords, you can now assign a status to each note, and all notes can also be exported as a text file.

Enjoy the update!

Improved blog upload tools

October 03, 2019
by jos

The blog module's upload features have greatly been improved with the latest update. Default targets and favorite directories are now easier to select and can be automatically generated, while features that are seldom used can be disabled for each classroom, or even for entire schools. Existing posts offer a new upload option that also allows to directly access default and favorite directories.

The update also introduces a new date/calendar logic, which makes it easier to select or change dates, and it also fixes a number of smaller bugs in our e-Learning apps.

Enjoy the update!
